The other day we were in Target buying school supplies for Cal’s impending adventure in Kindergarten. The school supplies were in the far back corner of the store, where they set up all the seasonal items. Cal urgently told me that he had to go to the bathroom. We were as far away from the bathrooms as you can get and still be in the store. So we headed towards the front of the store where the bathrooms were, with Cal moaning and groaning the whole way. Halfway to the bathrooms he said, “Mommy, I think the poop’s going to come out of my mouth!” He said this as he hunched over and clutched his stomach, obviously in distress. I told him that was a gross thing to say. To which he replied, “Well, it’s at least backed up into my small intestine!”
He’s FOUR years old!!!
I asked him where he learned about small intestine, and he said he saw it on The Magic School Bus. The show was all about digestion.
I think he should watch more TV.
