Do you remember doing this when you were a kid?
I totally remember doing this in the house I grew up in. It was the house in Belle Brook subdivision on Wonder Valley Road. I lived there from the time I was like two or three years old until I was 17. My mom put grasscloth wallpaper up in the hallway which made it easy to get a good footing on the way up. I think our textured walls sort of give Cal a similar advantage. The kid just needs to figure out how to stick the landing.
Today was volunteer day again at the boys’ school. Man, I love their school. Awesome new principal this year. Both boys have great teachers. Which reminds me, I am starting a secondary blog, just for photos. It’s going to be a photo a day of something I am grateful for. I borrowed the idea from Krissie of Questions for Dessert. The idea just really spoke to me. I got it set up today, but the gratitude photos are starting tomorrow with the new month. Wow, is it really almost October? I hear some cooler, drier weather is also coming tomorrow. Yippee Skippee!
On tap for today: laundry (currently), carpool, karate, pizza night. Luckily today was a total non-exercise day, not even walking, because my knees were really hurting yesterday after running Week 2, Day 3 of my Couch to 5K training. My knees are feeling much better right now, so tomorrow I start Week 3 of the nine week program. Which means I will only be 1/3 through with my training before I “run” (read run/walk) the Tampa Police Memorial 5K in one week. But I’m still excited about it…Jeannie is going to bring a riding crop to help keep me going.
