Egg Hunt Saturday
Oh Happy Day! This post is coming to you via my NEW COMPUTER! I’m extremely excited about this and plan to write more about it, but I don’t have time right now. I’ve gotta brain dump the day so far and then get ready to go to the Lady Gaga concert! Like I said, oh happy day.
I had the most delicious bowl of oatmeal for breakfast this morning.

It was steel cut oats, almond milk, strawberries, blueberries, banana, toasted pecans and coconut. So good. Cheese and chive eggbeaters with Frank’s hot sauce on the side and three cups of coffee + splenda and skim milk. This was a very filling breakfast.
While I was sleeping late and then having that delicious breakfast Chad and the boys went for a “fishy walk” (that’s what the boys call their usual Saturday morning route along the canals…they saw dolphins this morning) and then went to Publix. As soon as they got back we were off to Eckerd College for the annual Alumni Easter Egg Hunt.

This is the eighth annual EC Easter Egg Hunt, and I’m pretty sure we have been to every single one of them.
First up…food! They always have a kid-friendly (not very healthy) spread of food for lunch.

I’m playing with new photo-editing software here (Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3, which kicks Photoshop Elements butt), so please bear with me while I figure things out. I know that photo above looks funny, but I’m in a hurry and could only play for a minute.
College class of “91…yep, we’re old.

When Mack was a baby he was terrified of the Easter Bunny. He’s over that now, though.
The Easter Bunny brings candy and that is good

This is our traditional photo in front of the water:

Of course Cal found something to climb.

We saw lots of old friends and marveled at how big their kids were and they marveled at how big our kids were. Isn’t that how it always is?
Pretty soon it was time to line up.
Ready, set, go!
Both boys scored a ton of eggs.

Happy boys, happy family, happy day.
The boys dug into their candy and little toys in the car on the way home. Since I didn’t eat chicken nuggets and grilled cheese at the egg hunt, as soon as we got home I made a ginormous salad. New flowers from my wonderful husband today!
In my salad: CSA lettuce and kohlrabi, red bell pepper, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, corn and black beans, fat free cheese, Italian salad spritzer, lite blue cheese dressing. Delish.
So now I am going to play with my new computer a little more (especially having fun figuring out Lightroom) and then get ready for Gaga
.
