TriKidsRock Swim, Run, Hurdle Triathlon 2012
I am having serious blog aversion. I don’t want to take photos, download the ones I have, or write any words. Good thing this is not my job. Regardless of my blog aversion, I did want to give props to my boys for kicking some muddy butt on Saturday at the TriKidsRock Swim, Run, Hurdle triathlon!

Of course it started with a sunrise drive across the Bayside Bridge to Clearwater.

There was no bike leg of this triathlon. It was Swim, Run, muddy obstacle course. The transition area was adorable.

First up was the swim inside of the Long Center.

I’d never been here before. This was a really nice pool.

Chad and I split up and he went outside to see Cal go through transition while I waited for Mack to finish his swim. He took this one of me once I came outside…

Cal did the run with his friend Cameron.

Mack ran solo.

My friend Tanya and me…I think I was waving to her husband who took this picture:

After the run, it was HURDLE time! (aka time to get muddy)

My triathletes!

Getting hosed off:

Races are so much more fun with friends.

Thanks for a fun event TucKeR!

Mack said, “Mom, I used to be an athlete, but now I’m a TRIathlete.” He wished there was a bike leg, though. Next year he’ll have to do the Meek & Mighty Triathlon with Cal.
I didn’t take any pictures last week because I just really really didn’t want to. I didn’t do much anyway. No exercising. I was a slug. Yesterday I finally got my butt back to the gym, but first the boys and I went to the new McDonald’s that just reopened near our house.

In general I am not a fan of McDonald’s, but we have been watching this new McDonald’s being built from the ground up, and I told the boys we would check it out at least once after it was finished.

There was a McDonald’s in the same location previously, but it was really old and run down. The new one is sparkly and fancy.

The old one had a play land, as does the new one.

My boys are a little too old for these play areas now, but they checked it out for a few minutes before we headed to the gym.
The ModelFit Lean Body Blueprint program has now moved into Phase 2. With my little week off, I was feeling very reluctant to dive right into it, so yesterday at the gym I went through all the exercises in the new workout program just to see what I still had questions about. I have watched all of the videos linked to the workout, but this let me know which ones I should re-watch. Here is a link to the whole Phase 2 program:
Lean Body Blueprint Adaptation Routine – Phase 2
I just did one set of everything yesterday, which in and of itself took about an hour and a half.
This morning we went back to the gym and I did the Mobility and Warm-up routines, Workout A (as shown on the log that is the last page of the document above), and the conditioning routine. It was tough! I’m going to be sore tomorrow.
I still have no desire to take pictures and blog, but I know that I need the accountability with my workouts. I’m trying to will myself back into the groove.

I think I’ve said this before but I love that you and your cutie pie hubby get the boys involved in tris, runs and all this healthy stuff. I love it!! When I am minus the baby in the gut, I look forward to running w/ my boys again!
Congrats to your boys! I love how active they are.
I just love how active your boys are! I want to be the same way whenever we have kids!
Great pictures! One day I’ll get a nice camera with a zoom
It was nice running into you at the race. Good luck with the next phase of your exercise program!
Damn you kids are active unlike my girls who had no intrest in sports in any way shape or form but then neither does me or hubby so not that supriseing I guess
The tri looks so fun! I can’t wait to get Ava involved in more races!
Great to see the boys doing the triathelon. I miss them already.
I love the pic of all the kids with their Tri medals…so cute!
