My clipless pedals didn’t kill me…yet
The day has gotten away from me somehow. It’s almost the kids’ bedtime and I still haven’t blogged, but I really want to spend the evening watching Dawson’s Creek (last season!), not blogging. So here is today’s photo dump with as few words as I can manage.
Walked Mack to school this morning (2 miles round trip)…it was still pretty dark out:

Breakfast:

Practiced going up and down my street, then around my block, on Specialized Snowflake with my new clipless pedals.

Didn’t fall. Biked to the gym (three miles there, including some traffic and crossing 4th Street, a very busy street here in N.E. St. Pete)…didn’t fall!

I even managed to clip in several times without looking down at my feet. Yay me!
Yoga.

Yoga on Instagram:

It is my strong desire that all my friends join Instagram and follow me so I can follow you back immediately. Please.
Biked home. Three more miles.

First ride in traffic on my new clipless pedals was a total success! Shared my success on Instagram:

Shower, then lunch:

If you join Instagram you can see all of my food in real time, as I’m eating it! How can you say no to that? And sometimes I apply a funky filter!

Picked up Mack from school, and soon we went to Cal’s school, where they want at least 100 kids to succeed…

and sat in the car line for a half hour…

so that we could run by Office Depot for the sixth round of school supplies…

and make it to Mack’s karate class in time.

Cal did his homework while Mack was in karate.

I meant to work on this blog post, but wasted the entire time on Twitter and Facebook instead.

After karate we went by Tour de Pizza for our weekly pie.

Chad and the boys had pizza, I had leftover Cottage-Flower Pie:

That’s it. Now go download the Instagram app and follow me @carolinecalcote.

I laughed out loud reading about the 100 student success, too funny! I love your motivation and drive but seriously, didn’t you feel worked out just by getting to the gym!? Holy crap girl, that’s a long long bike ride! Good for you!!
No! A three mile bike ride to the gym is nothing. You should ride to the gym with me some time! Thanks!
Omg I would pass out by the Elementary school, no doubt! You are a brave, brave woman!
I’m going to see what I can do about this Instagram stuff…..oxox
well at least the school has a goal :p if i saw that pizza i would so fall for the temptation. Keep up the work; holy cow!
That school sign cracked me up. When you get close it has a tiny % drawn with a marker, but still. So funny. Thanks!
Nice work! Clipless pedals are scary. Agreed!
