Chicken salad Monday
There was just no good title for today. None. It was that fascinating.
Yesterday was a such a rainy, dreary day. After getting up at 5 a.m. all pumped for the boys to do the triathlon, then being let down by the weather, it was hard to get motivated to be productive in the afternoon. I spent most of it watching Dawson’s Creek on Prime Instant Video.

I’m half way through the last season!
I got the boys to bed, Chad came home from the Bucs successful season opener, and then I stayed up too late doing nothing. It was just hard to admit that the weekend was over.

I guess getting up at 5 a.m. yesterday then staying up too late was not a good combination. I did not want to get up this morning, so when the alarm went off at 5:30 I just reset it to 6:00 and went back to sleep. It turns out it was a good thing though, because when I got up at 6:00 it was raining anyway. Winning!
So I drove Mack to school this morning. Despite rain for most of the weekend, many flooded yards, and rain this morning, several neighbors had their sprinklers on. I really have nothing else to say about this.

I had a hard time deciding between Trader Joe options for breakfast, so I combined a couple:

After breakfast I got some laundry started, then I roused Chewie…

and we went for a short walk. I was planning to do three miles, but it was sprinkling, so we only did about two.

Better than nothing, which is what I actually felt like doing.
Trying to maintain some productivity after the walk, I cleaned the kitchen…

flipped laundry…

took a shower, then made lunch. More Trader Joe’s goodness:

So far, this is my favorite of the TJ products we purchased and have tried.

My friend Meghan (Little Girl in the Big World) suggested that I do a post about the favorite things that we got. Once we get to try everything that we bought I’ll try to do a rundown of all of it. But so far, chicken salad = good.
After lunch I took a box to the UPS Store (returning something Chad ordered then didn’t want), then went by Publix.

I tried to cover up the less than healthy stuff with the healthy stuff in this photo:

Successful?
That’s it for today. See why I had a hard time coming up with a title? I guess I could have called it “Walking, Laundry, Publix” but I think I’ve used that one before. In a little bit Mack and I have to go pick up Cal at the bus stop, then we’re having an early dinner because there is an Open House and PTSA (like PTA, but with an S in there) meeting at Cal’s school tonight.
Cya!

Monday is my catch-up day too since the boys are out of the house. I cleaned and got organized
I love the things from Trader Joe’s!
I have been dying to rewatch Dawson’s Creek.
What a great looking kitchen I would love to have a larger kitchen………..
Thanks. It’s not really that big, but that one huge peninsula countertop is awesome. We remodeled it a few years ago. Before that, it was pretty yuck.
