I haven’t been posting about exercising because I haven’t been doing it much since Fitbloggin’ other than my crazy Beast Beach experience on Sunday. I am announcing to the interwebs that I will go to the gym tomorrow. So now I have to. I’ve heard through the grapevine that as of yesterday (October 1st) they no longer have LesMills classes at my gym. That means no more BodyPump, BodyFlow, or RPM. I guess I’ll show up tomorrow and see what’s going on. I’m trying to keep an open mind. I’m also making note of the other gyms in my area that do have the Les Mills classes. We shall see.
This morning I drove Mack to school because I also had to drive Cal to school afterwards for Robotics Club. Cal’s school starts so late and goes so late into the afternoon that clubs actually meet before school. Tomorrow Mack and I will definitely be walking to school because it is International Walk to School Day.
While we walk to school most days, this is always a fun day because we get to walk to school with a huge crowd that meets at a park a half mile from the school. Here’s my post from last year’s International Walk to School Day.
Here’s my post from International Walk to School Day in 2010 when school started at a later time and we weren’t walking in the dark.
I’m excited about it. It would be so much more fun if tons of people walked to school every day.
Today was my day to volunteer at Mack’s school. When I arrived I noticed something interesting happening on the P.E. court.
I also noticed that Halloween mania is in full force at school.
I met Mack for lunch and we hung out in Mrs. P’s and Mrs. K’s office to avoid the heat. It’s so hot and muggy here still. I’m totally sick of it.
I wore my storm trooper necklace that belonged to Chad when he was Mack’s age.
He ordered it from a comic book in 1977 and his mother has lovingly kept it, along with a C3PO and a Chewbacca pendant, ever since.
She sent them all to me a while ago and I love wearing them to school. The kids always make comments about them. Oh, she also saved all the comic books and we have those now too.
While Mack ate his lunch I hung stars for Mrs. P.
As Mack and I walked back to his classroom after lunch we saw up close what was going on in the P.E. court.
The Florida Highway Patrol was doing a lesson in seat belt safety.
Back in the classroom we had to check out what Small Fry was up to.
Apparently he’s coming home with us this weekend.
I hope Chewie doesn’t eat him.
I helped out with a little bit of work for Mrs. G.
Mom outfit of the volunteering day (OOTVD):
I was edged out of the mirror a little bit by this guy:
This is the adult restroom in the school’s main office. They always go a little crazy in there with the holiday décor.
After I left school I went by Bealls to get a gift for someone, then to Publix.
When I got home from Publix there was a big box waiting for me. A few days ago I got an e-mail informing me that I had won the McCormick Generation Fresh kit from Fitbloggin’. It was a random drawing. Look at all the cool stuff I won!
Thank you McCormick and Fitbloggin’!
I guess I’m pretty lucky, considering I once won a really nice road bike from a local bike shop. And considering that I have a husband who keeps me in fresh flowers just about all the time.
And considering what a wonderful life I have in general. Yes, I’m very lucky.
Now Mack is home and in a minute we have to go pick up Cal. I’m going to be dropping them off at Chad’s office because I’m meeting a friend for a fun event tonight. More good luck! Cya.
