Trunk or Treat 2012
What a weekend. As usual it was jam-packed with awesomeness. So much so that there was no time to blog and right now there is very little energy for blogging. I’m exhausted.
I don’t want to do a huge post with multiple events, so I think I’ll just take it one thing at a time and see if I ever get caught up. Life doesn’t stop though, and neither do the fascinating events that fill my days, so who knows what will end up here or how it will get here.
Friday night the boys and I headed to their school for the PTA’s Trunk or Treat event. (Click here to see a couple of photos from Trunk or Treat 2010, and click here for the full run down of Trunk or Treat 2011.)
Aliens were arriving by skateboard.

Spiderman was ready to defend the city should the aliens not be coming in peace.

Luckily a peaceful arrangement was made between the alien and Spiderman, at least for the moment.

We got to Trunk or Treat about an hour after it started and it was hopping.

Cal immediately hooked up with some of his Shore Acres alumni buddies and disappeared. My friend Christie B. had a table set up for Karna Fitness and she took this photo of Mack and me. Thanks Christie!

Before hitting up the trunks we headed to the P.E. court where they had a haunted tunnel set up.

It was not nearly as scary as the haunted firehouse from a few days ago, so Mack headed right in.

The alien came running by as we were leaving the P.E. court, so I snapped an official photo of the tentative allies.

Please note the alien’s shoes. Cal covered his old crocs with green duct tape. What can’t you do with duct tape?
Chad arrived about this time and we hit up the trunks together. Here’s just a few:

The kids and the grown-ups were all having a blast. The cool weather was such a nice treat this year! Most years we are all sweating in our costumes.

The trunks wound all around the school parking lot. This is one of the biggest PTA events of the year and is probably the best attended by people from all over the community.

My friend Dawn was Draculara from Monster High.

My new seasonal Facebook profile pic:

I love my friends, and yay for PDQ St. Petersburg making it onto the blog again!

Trick or Treat?

I should have shot some video, because these babies were creepy crawling!

This was my favorite trunk!

Mack met the president!

My Wonder Woman friend Katie and her Super Girl daughter:

The Trunk or Treat committee outdid themselves once again with the decorations.

They transformed the campus into a ghostly playground.

I tried to take an arms-length photo of Chad and me, but I kept poking him in the head with my horns.

I think he was afraid of losing an eye.

Finally we had Mack take one for us (but then I used them all anyway of course).

Super fun family Friday night!

Saturday was epic and hopefully I’ll manage to run it all down soon.
Thank you Shore Acres PTA for all that you do!

What great photos really looks like everyone had a great time……………..
Boy. You would think by now Chad would know just to wear safety googles at all times with you.
Haha, I know, right?
This looks like such a fun event! I love the idea of decorating the trunks. I can only imagine what the rest of your weekend had in store, and I can’t wait to hear about the big bike ride.
Trunk and treat is such an excellent concept.I had never heard of it before. As usual loved all the pictures.
The trunk or treat thing has gotten really popular around her the past few years. Lots of churches and schools do them. Thanks!
The alien was awesome.
That is a cool, creative event. I really like it because it is relatively safe for the children.
Awesome costumes of the boys, great community. Looked like everyone had fun. Miss you. MOM
