On Sunday Mom, the boys, and I took a little cruise around Tampa Bay from the St. Petersburg Pier.
I’ve seen this Dolphin Cruise all over the Bay and Coffee Pot Bayou many times but we have never done it. This was a good chance to be tourists in our own town.
The St. Petersburg Pier is now closed to cars and all the businesses are closed. It is still open to pedestrians and bicyclists, but it’s future still remains unclear. Even though we knew most of the touristy stuff that the Captain told us on the cruise, it was still a fun boat ride on a beautiful day and it was mostly new info to my mom.

The parade of beautiful homes:
This one is just a mere 23,000 square feet:
The boys loved the cruise.
Everyone woke up and paid attention when we finally spotted a couple of dolphins.
They swam in our wake for a bit.
I didn’t really do a good job of capturing the dolphins with my camera. As soon as you see them it’s too late to shoot!
Mack got to drive the boat on the way back to The Pier.
Our Captain/Tour Guide was really nice and had tons of interesting info about St. Pete and Tampa Bay.
I love our beautiful city, and this was a great way to enjoy it.
I would recommend The Pier Dolphin Cruise to locals and tourists alike. It’s a great way to spend an hour and a half on a beautiful Florida Day.
