For the past few days around here it’s been all about Joey. Joey 24/7. Joey all the time. Joey Joey Joey. Meet Joey.

Where am I? How did I get here?

Joey is the class pet for Mack’s 1st grade class. Joey is a hamster. Joey is brown and white and black. Joey is very cute.

This seems like the safest spot.

Joey’s house has two levels and he goes through a tube. Mack found a peanut on our walk to school the other day and he gave it to Joey. Joey chewed on it.

Quick! Grab a snack!

Joey bit Jenna. Joey pooped on Zaina’s book. Joey’s poop is tiny. You have to be quiet around Joey. You have to hold Joey like an egg.

Mack dropped Joey because Joey’s nails poked him. Joey got loose, but it was okay because everyone was sitting a circle so it was easy to catch him.

Joey is just a baby. He is very small. Mack keeps calling Joey “Cody”. Mack’s cousin is named Cody. He is also a baby and is very small. Understandable mistake.

It's hard to get a good picture of a hamster in a ball.

Joey is very popular, and has made Mack’s classroom a very popular place for kids from other classrooms to hang out before school starts.

Joey is coming home with us over Christmas break.

Freedom this way?

Yippee Skippee!
