Skiing Diamond Peak

It was awesome. I didn’t get injured!

I have to admit that I was really apprehensive. I hadn’t skiied in probably 15 years. I was worried that I would hurt a foot or knee or leg and not be able to run and would never run again (because it would be so hard to start over).

The weather was so perfect. It was sunny and warm, like low 50’s (maybe cooler on the very top of the mountain). No wind or anything. Just perfection.

This is where we had lunch. It was at the top of one of the runs. We had huge hamburgers which hit the spot.

I skiied alot when I was a kid in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and I’m happy to say that it did come back to me. After the first run I felt much calmer and really enjoyed the rest of the day. My legs are super tired now…well, my whole body feels exhausted, but it was great.

Now we’re chilling with cocktails and going to dinner in a bit. It’s back home to Florida tomorrow. I’m going to miss my sister and my highschool friends and Tahoe. I know I have to come back here with my family one day. This place is magical.
