Oops, almost forgot to blog. Now I’m in a hurry.

Last night the options in our refrigerator were looking pretty slim after being housebound for two days. I had half of a head of cabbage that was on its last legs and some frozen Italian chicken sausage, so I threw something together for dinner.

First I browned the sausage…

Then I shredded and added the cabbage as well as some chopped sweet mini peppers…

and finally I threw in a can of crushed tomatoes.

I also added some Garlic Gold Italian herb nuggets and salt. Served over brown rice, it was pretty good.

Everybody liked it. For Chad, I took some of the mixture out of the pan before adding the tomatoes. I like these “thrown-together” kind of meals.

By early evening last night tropical storm Debby finally started moving and the waters started to recede. These photos show my street at 7 a.m. and at 7 p.m. yesterday:

Our street had mostly cleared, but the surrounding streets were still flooded:

When we got up this morning all the roads were clear! Yippee! Chad went to work and the boys and I went to morning swim team practice.

Then we went to the gym. First I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, but had issues getting a picture for some reason.

Then Bodypump.

After the gym we went to Publix. Great parking karma…

The boys sat up front while I shopped. Cal has discovered that they have wi-fi.

Restocking after the storm…

It was only three days, counting most of Sunday, but it felt like an eternity.

This afternoon I have been catching up on making phone calls (rescheduling physical therapy, Chewie appointments, blah blah blah) and spending way too much time on Facebook with my IRunMommies discussing a little girls night out we have planned for Sunday. It involves naked men. I’m sure most of you know what I’m talking about.

Okay, now I have to go jump in the shower because tonight is the Tampa Bay Lady Bloggers book club meeting. I’m excited to see some of the group and try a new restaurant. Fill you in on that tomorrow!
