Expensive race photos, organic veggies, and wacky mismatched clothes among other things
Yesterday the professional race photos from the Suncoast Classic became available so all of my IRunMommies friends and I were checking them out. I got annoyed with how expensive they were (more so than many other race photo companies). I let my annoyance get the better of me and posted one of the photos on our private group page with the watermark. I was quickly told how “uncool” that was, and I totally agree so I immediately took it down. I felt really bad about having posted it even though it was only up for about ten minutes, so to make up for it I decided to purchase the photo. Now I own it for unlimited web use (no printing), so here it is:
I am happy to be considered uncool for looking like I do in the above photo and for many other reasons, but not for being a thief. I hope my friend who called me out will forgive me. I felt bad about it all night.
Their photos were $17.95 for one digital download at full resolution with unlimited use license, $19.95 for two “web use resolution” downloads with web use license only (no printing), and $26.95 for three of those. So of course I had to go ahead and get three because I really didn’t just want a photo of myself and because then it would feel like they weren’t quite so expensive. Yes, I’m a terrible or awesome shopper, depending on how you look at it.
I definitely learned a lesson and will NEVER steal a copyrighted image again. Whew. Now I feel better.
Yesterday we picked up our second box of Annie’s Organic Buying Club veggies.
Chewie thinks everything is always for him.
So does Mack. Ignore my messy house in the background.
The box was stuffed beyond closing this time.
I’m going to be on the search for a crock pot potato leek soup, I think. Does such a thing exist? Mr. Google will tell me. There were lots of local goodies this time for sure.
Dinner last night was sirloin steak (BOGO, or half off, at Fresh Market on Tuesday), sweet potatoes with salt and cinnamon, and broccoli.
I went on the family evening walk last night for the first time in a while.
After the boys went to bed Chad and I watched The Following. OMG, this show! It definitely requires a willing suspension of disbelief, but it’s still pretty gripping. Next we watched Girls. What in the world? I was not a fan of where they took Hannah’s character in this latest episode, but I do like the ex-boyfriends’ storylines. Marnie needs to get a life. Seriously.
Speaking of television, who can’t wait for Game of Thrones to return? Me! March 31st. Hoorah!
Check out this awesome interactive infographic that the people from DirectTV sent me:

That thing is so cool. If you are a fan, you should check it out. It’s a great way to refresh your memory about EVERYTHING that has happened so far and it is going to continue to be updated as the new episodes are aired.
So this morning I wimped out and didn’t walk to school. It was 47° and I have a very hard time convincing myself to walk to school when it is below 50°. Today was March Madness Wacky Mismatch day at Mack’s school. Again, ignore my messy house please.
Breakfast was awesome as usual.
After dropping Cal off at the bus stop I headed to the gym for Bodypump where I actually took a photo. Smile Tanya…
Afterwards I hurried home to shower and get dressed so that I could meet our realtor to look at a couple of houses. We’ve looked at half a dozen with the realtor now and driven by a dozen more. Nothing yet.
After that, lunch.
One of my newest obsessions is this pomegranate sparkling water from Fresh Market:
The only ingredients are sparkling water and natural pomegranate flavor. They are $1.79 for a one liter bottle, but so much better than just plain water.
After lunch I went by the UPS Store to send documents to our lender for our new mortgage pre-approval, picked up a take and bake from Tour de Pizza, then picked up Mack. He did his homework then had a friend over to play for about an hour before I had to take him to karate. After dropping him off at karate I picked up Cal from the bus stop then he and I went back to his school for a PTSA meeting (like PTA with an S). Yes, he comes home on the bus then we turn right around and go back. There is no alternative.
Cal had entertainment for the meeting…
and I had lots of stuff to entertain myself with during the meeting also.
I also had snacks thanks to the awesome Katie of A Full Plate.
She is the organizer of our team for the Southeastern Guide Dogs Walkathon on Saturday and she put together these awesome goodie bags for us.
I’m hoping that the coconut date protein balls were human food because I ate them and they were delicious. Chewie has his own personalized bandana to wear! All the dogs on our team have one. Yes, his name is misspelled, but he won’t know the difference.
Once we got home from the PTSA meeting the boys had pizza and I had this for dinner:
It was pretty good. Not awesome, but not bad.
That’s it for today. I blogged. Cya.
